I am blogging from Berlin!

I have a lot of stuff to say, since a lot of stuff has happened these past 10 days.

OK first highlights for this competition that Raffles Voices has just participated in
43th International Festival of Choral Song in Miedzyzdroje
1. Sacred Category - Gold Diploma, second overall. >< they didnt give a prize for second though.
2. Modern Category; Children Choirs below the age of 16 (basically we won this category, but the grand prize combines both adult and children choirs, so we effectively lost both grand prix to a pro university choir.) ><

I forgot to say we won 2 more things from this competition.
3. A special award from the Education Ministry of Poland. Supposedly given for either our *stunning* pronunciation in Chrystus or for something else. God knows.
4. And our dear Mr Toh won himself a free weekend stay in Hotel Slavia! Oh well he said that he is never going back anymore so there goes the stay. Probably he already gave it away.

I also want to say I got to know Mr Toh a lot better from this trip. Its the fun side of him that you rarely get to see in choir now or for the past few years. Thank you Mr Toh. =)

Next, Germany lost to Spain 0-1 in the match played a few hours ago. I watched the match so I know what happened. Germany didnt not play as well as they should have and thus it was really a great regret. Berlin is quite quiet too. >< later people riot and cannot go back to Singapore. lol

Third, I have been missing school for 1 week, and the next 2 days too. It is really quite sad because I have not been doing any homework here on the trip, and while this is the last night people are all partying and stuff.

Sigh. RV just got a reflection session with mr toh. I think what makes the trip so meaningful is the fact that it is the reflection part that I and everyone else can grow from and mature to become better people.

Nothing else to say because now its 01.25 in Berlin, whereas school is starting in Singapore now. xD Haha. I will just end off with 2 quotes of mine.

OK thats the only time you will see me do that xD.


Seriously after monday's scolding by Mr Toh i realised that the choir suddenly woke up and became much better. It got better but it was an increasing better so it was like a decreasing increasing function.

xD sigh. I forgot what rly happened today. But here are some excerpts.

(and you know dung-nung occurs like 209854580393792 times in the song so yeah. haha.)

mr toh: hmm thats not right. think daniel.

Its really hilarious how mr toh makes us change our tone by asking us to imitate others. ingenius.

I forgot all the others. But really I love my choir and my choir practices (maybe not love again because of all the people I hate in choir). Well I enjoy choir practices and I think it has become a part of my life and taste. =)

Hey everyone!

Trip is tomorrow! >< I will be away from the 20th of June to the 1st of July, so don't bother calling, sms-ing, etc. Emails are allowed because I will be bringing a tool to check emails xD

My sleeping hours for the past 3 days.
mon - tue: 12.30 to 8.30
tue - wed: 12.45 to 9.20
wed - thu: 12.00 to 9.30

Yeah I am a good boy that sleeps at least 8+ hours a day.

And Mr Toh commended the basses yesterday. I never had that sort of nice feeling when your section gets praised. =) Yes I definitely think that the basses can do much better and shine during competition. =)

OK I have to go off to eat so ta-ta.

I declare that I officially suck at basketball. xP

OK maybe I don't suck, but it is just that I really need to practice more. x(

Started off today with sectionals from 9 to 12. Pleayed bball with Yifan in the morning for 1 hour before sectionals. LOL 1 round of abc took one hour to complete, can you believe that. xP Yes i need to focus more during basketball. I keep thinking that I get unlimited shots.

Sectionals from 9 to 12! Did a lot of pep talk with the basses today. I hoped it work and they really got that mindset going and thinking that this competition is ACTUALLY IN 6 DAYS. T.T Sigh I guess I am really neglecting the development of my basses, since I blast so much during combine and often forget to hear out for them. I have to change that.

Then played basketball, but less; with Yuxin and Paul. This was what happened here.






















This, is a first. I have never seen a basketball get stuck before. Really. Kudos to Yuxin for taking that light shot. Yes and Yuxin please do go ahead and copy it I give you the copyright too. xD

Time really really flies.

In this time next week I will be busy packing my stuff and getting ready for my flight to Poland. Gosh.

Anyway, choir trivia was a failure. I don't know why RV people are so unsporting, maybe its just that these stuff require time. =(

And practices are getting longer. The rate that we work at is like omgosh we will so totally die on the trip itself because we have so much stuff to work on. Argh.

And I was busy with SS documentary today. Yeah I love the way my group works. At least we have half the materials for our documentary now. =)



Anything else? I can't remember. My mind seems quite empty now. o o

Blogs. What are they?

Blogs are weblogs, just like diaries but written online. Blogs are much more public because more people can get access.

I sometimes wonder if my blog is actually read due to the poor turn out rate on my tagboard. ZZZ. *points right* Well it is dead most of the time except for certain spam by certain people.

I guess a blog shows a lot about a person. His character, writing style, his circle of friends, personal info, daily experiences etc. Hence I conclude a blog is a good way of reading and knowing one's character.

Of course you can still be very reserved by not saying anything on the blog at all. Then people won't know what you are doing. xD

Well its 9th June again. =) One year ago I was in a certain hotel in Beijing. At this time nearing 12am I was playing bridge/taiti (cant remember which) and yes it was with a group of people that I have gotten to know on that trip.

12am. I remember sleeping at about 2+ am one year back. Shall I do it again this year? XD Nah I have CCA tmr and hence I shall sleep early.

Chorale came back with fantastics results. Well you must give them credit for getting 4 category winners out of 5 right? Ha. Good job guys it will really be hard keeping up the same standard IF i ever join chorale.

Ahh life is quiet and peaceful. Oh since I am here I would like to officially thank ms kwan for doing the interview so our group finally can move on after the 'interview' stage. Thank you ms kwan. =)





OH and turnout for choir trivia was like shit. Like in the pits, literally. Why are RV people like that? Tsk.

It's sunday morning! The start of week 3 of the holidays.

I shall not update my hw here, because I dont want to have to look at it over and over and over and over and over again. Well lets move on to something more fun.

And I wonder why I dont have any other posts on beijingohseven.

Cant remember what I was doing now exactly one year ago at this moment, hence I decided to look up my blog. Wahla there wasn't anything there. Zzz.

Well its night time, so I am either in my hotel room watching tv, going to sleep, at conan's room (or jeremy's room for the matter), or just moving about in the hotel.

Wah the more I think of it the more I miss beijingohseven. =(

OH well lets get that over.









And I realise that one year passes so quickly. Do you know that its the june holidays again? I cant believe yeah its so fast. Time really flies. I wonder what I will be doing one year from here?

So many things have happened in this one year. It seems as though nothing significant has gone by for I cannot remember anything.

I shall quickly post a song lyrics here. First time eh. :D

beijing oh seven! :D

Well I am not sure if its just me, but I really have to say that going to beijing last year was fun and memorable.

Kudos to xiner for spamming my tagboard, hence I shall decide to post a little something on my trip one year ago.

Yes to make this more interesting I shall make it THE TOP 5 MOST MEMORABLE EVENTS.

5. Trip back to Singapore. I remembered that we played mahjong on the airplane. Haha seriously funny because I ended up controlling 2 controllers. In the end the others left because they didnt want to play anymore. Oh and I also remember changing seats with a certain someone due to personal reasons. Ended up sitting next to Jeremy and Joshua. Haha. xD

4. In the hotel at Beijing! I remember when we finished touring the Olympics stadium and the roads there, Joshua choinged into the toilet right after we reached the room. And yes some of you might know that he spilled a lot of blood from his middle finger, like wth? O.o Yeah in the end I did the job of cleaning the blood up. Thankfully its non-permanent.

3. Playing cards in the shopping centre waiting area before going on the train to Shandong. Yes that was when we introduced all of us to ourselves. Prior to that Joshua was the only one mixing around with the others la. Hem. Yeah I remember playing 2 decks worth of cards of bluff. In the end I lost because I ended up having everything. zzz.

2. Train back to Beijing! Yes that was when I took my videos of Torchic. =) You can ask them from me because I still have them on my phone. xD They were videos of disappearing tricks by the way.

And finally,
1. On the trip to Shandong when we took the night train there, I remembered that I totally didn't sleep at all. Felt like a zombie the next day due to all the sleep I didnt get la. Started off the morning (12am) by reading duzhe, then as the morning went by we played cards, heart attack, the pig game, slept, etc etc. This was one of the more enjoyable things that happened to me. =)

Yeah thats about it. Its really all these small events that make a trip memorable. Other than all the big museum visits, projects (i refuse to recall that =.=) and funny stuff, yeah it was really all the small things that make a trip so fun and memorable.

And one more event. The most memorable I think.
This is... the night before the project presentation. I remember clearly that 3 girls and Jeremy and Joshua were sitting outside our rooms, not going to sleep because they had to finish their presentation. In the end the 3 girls slept at 4am (dont ask) and yeah they went high the next day due to lack of sleep. Haha. Oh it was the lame jokes and stupid comments that was funny.

Q: Once upon a time there were 2 goldfish, Haha and Lala. What did Lala say to Haha at his funeral?
A: =) "Haha! You died!"

Yeah thats the most memorable joke. I dont get why I still have it in my head.

OH not forgetting the night before we left Singapore. Slept at 2 playing bridge, big 2, match it, etc.

Really a fun trip. And I am going on another in 2 weeks time. =)

Yes that's it I am so going to use proper english in all my posts now. With exceptions of course. (they can be made. (: )

Didn't go for choir today because I woke up feeling like crap. Headache so it made me really dizzy and couldn't walk initially at first, so I decided to go back to bed. Wala when I woke up again I was better. =.=

Seriously my first day at home when I am totally bored. I am now sitting here drinking coffee while watching episode 2 of the Terminator: Sarah Connor Chronicles. It's really a great show by the way, nice actors and good plot. Win. I wonder why I didn't discover this show in January. Hmm.

Rargh. Feeling bored. I can't play dagon because they had a server check since 8am, and its still extending. Resort to watching drama instead of games since it's really more fulfilling and fun. =) Addiction is not a problem too.

I have loads more homework to do, but not doing any, lala. T.T

Eh seriously the above post was useless. USELESS. Waste of my time.




And I am running out of time too. 2 more weeks before I fly to Poland. :D

Bloody tired. Really.

For the sake of tiredness i shall type all in non-caps today.

today is thursday, and i have only been home less than 12 hours since tuesday morning. ok here goes.

tuesday
went yifan's house at 8. started off by playing dagonms then watching 5 minutes of american pie (stupid and horny show btw). went to play fifa 2005, halo 2, and three kingdoms till 5, then went down for pool. 2 hours of pool then went up again for three kingdoms, went dinner at 830. then we came back at 930 and went swimming till 12. i then played fifa until 2 and went to bed.

stupid right? im so tired the above passage just seems like a narration. zzz. of course there were fun stuff, like riding the scooter to dinner and back, playing water monkey when swimming, owning at pool, scoring own goals and goals at fifa, bla bla bla. seriously fun, but i felt that the morning and afternoon was a complete waste of fun time.

oh yes i slept over at yifan's house. lala.

wednesday
choir from 9 to 1. then went for rs meeting at 2, reached home at 3, went out again at 550 to watch I-SO-TONIC by tone. omgosh seriously they are really good. going to do my concert report on them because they were so good. =) reached home at 11 and then slept at 12.

today
went out at 8 to west mall for english interview, only to find out at 10 ms kwan not coming because she fell sick. argh. =.= then met yifan at yck at 1120 and then waited for his *** friend at bugis for 35 minutes. seriously ah what the hell man. made me take the north line for 1 hour, the whole north line, then wait at bugis for 35 minutes. seriously some inconsiderate person. stupid.

anyway after that we ate at fish and co. which was like $$ money gone. then went down to centrepoint, then john little, then tangs, then isetan. it was tiring, but i did get some useful stuff for trip in 14 days time, which is good. i had a little bit of fun, thanks yifan. it was the stupid wait for that inconsiderate person that pissed me off. WHO THE HELL STAYS IN THE MRT SYSTEM FOR 2 HOURS? dammit i want to say bad word now.


argh here is my rough schedule of the past 3 days. i am now tired and trying to post a message. since it now ends, i leave now. byebye.
