It's the time of the year again. Yes it's the very best time of the year.

Not so I guess. Well I have been emoing and screaming at quite a few people these days, feeling more angry and frustrated more than ever. I guess it must be the homework stress and tests that are getting to me. And yeah my grades fall again like the stock market and they make me suspect that all teachers are biased against me. To an extent that is true. really.

Oh well. Lets start off with a new philosophy that "Life is a circle of events. What goes round must come back." And I say this as my new philosophy to life because things are happening all over again. As a student, it is the week 6 to 8 where the students feel utmost pressure from the work and stress, and this happened to me in sec3 and sec4 for almost every term (except term 4).

Students on average also sleep less a day now as compared to adults. I easily have 5 people that I know sleeping past 2, or even at 3 even on a school day. Things are just so much that once it piles, it requies even more time to clear it.

Sigh. Life is a circle and it will be. I look forward to the day when I actually retire and get to do whatever I want for at least one month. One month. Thats like nearly impossible.

Sunshine world. Pft. With problems prevalent everywhere such as global warming, the rush of human life, stress from competition, pollution, rising cases of natural disasters, etc, how do we expect to live in a sunshine world?

As long as I need to. Crushes are not counted please. Love doesnt pop up at first sight. Really.

I will wish her all the best in her relationship and hope she leads a happy life with that other person. Really. =) I like seeing people happy.

Yes. All the tests and various people pissing me off. Including my * computer.

I hope to be either working in the government, or as a teacher, or in a bank with a good job. xD unrealistic pft.

Even though I don't show it, it is my family. I cant think what I would do without them. My life would change drastically. Especially my mum.

Single and rich. Then get married. To be honest I don't agree that true love can override all things. It just isnt possible in today's society.

I have random dreams at first, then as it gets closer to my alarm I wake up before it rings or after it rings. This happens becuase my subconscious mind is awake and gradually my conscious mind is going to be awake soon. I then brush teeth, stone, pack stuff, bathe/wash face, then leave for school.

#16: Would you give it all in a relationship?
Yes. I would give my all even though I would not know what is the right thing to do.

#17: If you fall in love with two people simultaneously, who would you pick?
It really depends on the people I am in love with. Depending on their character and how much they like me, I will leave one and chase the other.

Random. But fun to be with.

-Eat a hearty breakfast.

-go to sleep, and then die.

Yeah i think if I die I would leave with regrets because I cannot say bye to all that I know. That would be what I really would do if I were to die btw. (gosh im morbid)

FIVE MORE DAYS! xDD

Oh well. I don't expect anything special to happen on that day. I mean its just another day of the year, which I am so closely associated with.

It's strange you know, that people just expect so much to happen on your special day. Reading how other people celebrate one another's big day just makes me hope for something like that too, but sometimes things dont happen by themselves.

Not that I am hinting anything, but I really don't expect much to happen on that day. What do you expect? xD physics quiz is on that day. xDDD And history essay too if i am not wrong.

Well back to mugging math. I must beat kum for this cct again. yeah I can do it.

I clearly remember posting last year before july that my july 2007 was going to be busy.

And I wondered why this year would never be busy at all.

Then I realised. They squeeze everything into the last week of july to kill me from reaching my 16th. -.-

Oh well. Next week is going to be really really busy. I won't bother listing out my hw because it is really very long, and yeah long homework lists just make you go omgosh.

Anyway, this blog post is about nothing, because I couldn't find something to blog about. It's sole purpose is to update my blog because I want to, and hence it is here.

Memes aside, its time to move on to blog about more real things.

The time now is 11.47pm, and I am supposed to be studying for my mep quiz tmr on stravinsky, of which the notes I have already highlighted, made personal annotations and compared it to the contextual knowledge I already possess. Yeah so thats basically done but in order to pull my mep percent up to 79.x%, I need to do more.

Life is getting monotonous once more. After apcg week, I guess the next big thing to look forward to is NEXT WEEK! And then olympics opening then national day. Well, life can get boring sometimes and it is the holidays that spur you forward.

I must say I have made a great improvement from PR1, but it isnt good enough. I have learnt that time and time again complacency is my biggest problem in RI and my life because I tend to slack once I get complacent. I MUST achieve my ideal gpa and O level result in order for it to be considered done.

And why do we work so hard? Why is it people in RI mug their butts off just to get that shining 4.0 gpa? Well, the answer is choice. Choice for scholarship, subject combinations, courses. Choice for jobs, for your future, to be able to choose anything you want to be able to do.

Its true. We work hard now to be given the choice to do many things. Choice to do RA, choice to take H3, choice for special modules, etc. Life is about choices, and many times what we do is to expand our choices so we can determine what we really want when we are given everything to choose from.

Sigh. I need to take it more easily, but life is simply too rushed and tough for me to relax and take a deep breath. BREATH.

Woke up at 11.30, then ate lunch and went down to GOS, then dinner at home then went tuition.

Saturday
Woke up at 7.30, went to school for sectionals until 12 then went down to Jubilee Presbytarian Church and performed the concert until 6 where I reached home. Played a bit of bball then watched movie and then sleep. T.T

Sunday
Woke up at 8, went to tuition at 9 and came home at 12. ate lunch at 2 then brought my sis down to toa payoh hdb hub for music practice (her ab exam coming soon la) then came back home and bathe then went out for rige concert.

Tomorrow (yes i can fortell the future)
I am going to wake up at 7.30, then eat and leave for school. RS meeting till 12, then eat then choir at 2. Ends at 6 then i will return home tired and not do any work at all.

Sigh. I hope tuesday to friday will be much better for me to do work.

RESL concert!

I believe this is the first time I am posting a post on RESL, yeah but amidst all my busy work, my screwed-up lifestyle, my other commitments, I always feel proud of what I am doing for my RE.

For those of you who don't know still, I am helping out in the choir of the Grace Orchard School. Come to me for more info if you need it.

And thus, having worked with the choir for about 4+ months or so, they will be performing for the first time under our guidance in an effort to raise funds for the school.

Lets all wish the choir the very best in tomorrow's showcase so that they can successfully accomplish their aim in helping their school raise funds! All the best GOC!

SS documentary - a study on the ss documentary

Narrator:

Students in schools today face a lot of stress and pressure. Unlike their parents 30 years ago, students today face a lot more stress such that they often show side effects, whether physical, mental or social. Our group has decided to do a more indepth study onto what causes our students to turn out so bad, and what side effects they suffer.

The main cause that we have realised that brings our students humongous amounts of pressure is the fact that they are often bugged and have to complete big projects like THIS. Since students have no say in school, they can only adapt and change according to the pressure they get and adapt well.

As we go down to RI today, we go in search of students that have suffered from this humongous amounts of pressure, resulting in different kinds of effects and undergoing horrible change.

This is student D. Before the ss documentary was issue out as an assignment, this was how he looked:






And after completing the ss doc while having to survive horrible groupmates and a bad teacher, he turned into this:





Student D has clearly undergone physical face shape change. This is not as bad as the rest of our case studies, but it is unhealthy and uncalled for.

This is student G. Similarly, studeng G also had to do the SS doc. This was how he looked when he was under pressure in school.








And after doing the SS doc, he morphed. Sad isnt it?


Student G not only lost his face shape, but turned into a zombie. One can say that he cannot manage his pressure as well as student D, but ultimately he still turned out like that. Is this our future? Will this be the future of Sillypore?

Last but not least, among all our interviewees, we have found student Y. This was how student Y looked when studying and coping with normal pressure. Well he looks screwed but still he looks normal, xD, trust me.






But evidently, student Y is not the type that can handle the sudden amount of stress, leading to his death.

In conclusion, big assignments like these should not be given out AT ALL because they bring too much pressure to our students, our future of society, our next generation.

And yes we wanted to go to that competition too but Mr Toh decided we should go to Poland instead, along with the teachers. And we agreed that it would be less hectic to go to poland.

And I shall end off with an ending post to the series of labels marked 'trip08'.

I guess there are a few ways to end it, my way would be to thank the following people.

My parents! For providing the $$ and allowing me to go on this trip. It is really all thanks to you two that going on 4 trips in 4 years has allowed me to grow and ultimately become what i am today. It may be for better or worse, but I deinitely have grown a lot since the day i started sec1. Thank you. =)

My friends! Hey guys thank you all for being so wonderfully nice and accompanying me on this trip. I would specifically like to thank my basses, my fellow SLs, my fellow EXCO, comm members, my roommates (Ben, Paul, Bryan, Kuss, Joel) and also every other choir person that has made a difference to me on my trip and also in preparation for the trip. Mr Toh! Thank you Mr Toh for being such a wonderful conductor. You are, and have been a great mentor and teacher to me, and I have learnt a lot from you in the 4 years of my choir life. What will happen after concert, really depends not on you but on my peers now. Your influence has been one of the greatest and I sincerely want to thank you for being such a great teacher to me. I have learnt much from you. =)

Ms Chiang and Ms Yew! Hi teachers I just want to say that you all have been working very hard behind the scenes, and your efforts will not go unnoticed! Being a teacher is never easy, and I want to thank you both for the hardwork you have put in these past few months in making this trip a success. Thank you!

Well if you all expect this post to be on trip you are going to be disappointed because I am not going to post about trip. Haha.

Yes I have pretty much gotten over it, so please don't make me recall those wonderful times and feel worse after that. It doesn't work like that, you know?

Well I suppose if you want stuff on trip you can always click on my friend's blogs, namely "yuxin", "kangjie". Thats about it really.

OK I came to blog after reading kj's blog so I shall do the quiz he made me do. Hmph.

1. What's the most scandalous thing you've done?
Well it really depends what you define scandelous as. I cant really think of any scandelous thing I have done. Really!

2. Who is the person you trust the most?
Sadly, me. Well coming from an all-boys school cuts off my relationships with the other half of the human race. And I think boys aren't trustworthy enough to be trusted in, because they simply backstab you anytime. Otherwise its just I don't let anyone in to my inner most circle. =)

3. Do you think you have enough confidence?
I hope so. People said that I do sometimes, but at times I get to egoistic and make my head so big, etc etc. I hope I can get enough to face life too.

4. Who is the person that you confide in?
Well no one. =) As I have mentioned earlier.

5. Are you satisfied with yourself?
Who would? I am constantly trying to make myself a better person to others, even if they think I still have flaws I improve upon my weaknesses. Anyone tell me what my weaknesses are?

6. What are you afraid to lose the most?
Nothing much really. Just my health I suppose?

7. Do you believe in love at first sight?
I wish.

8. Have you broken someone's heart that she tried to commit suicide?
Nope not really. Haven't have any of my friends or accquaintances committing suicide. But what is most important is that I haven't broke anyone's heart, have I?

9. What do you like about yourself?
I like my place in society, in my school. I am really glad I am myself and for the things that I love.

10. What are the requirements that you wish from the other half?
Like kangjie said, an open mind. I suppose the other half means your lifetime companion? (so vague tsk.)

11. Do you cherish every friendship of yours?
Haha. Friends are not really your friends unless they tell you your weak points. I think I am not really a friend, but more of just a buddy to most people I know. Yeah but I cherish friendships, if my friends cherish them too.

12. Do you treasure your family?
Yes! But my family has its problems too.

13. What do you dislike the most?
Traitors for one, and people who call you things that you aren't. I still haven't gotten over the latest insult because it is something I will remember for life. That guy is an idiot anyway - so full of himself. And yes people who are full of themself, thinking that they are the biggest and best in the world. Idiots.

14. Who do you hope to be always there for you?
Anyone who cares for me! But its just a hope anyway. Im too much of a loner that I dont trust people easily.

15. What do you regret most in life?
I don't have any particular regrets yet, but one thing I really regret is the bad things that I have done onto others that do not deserve them. Sorry to all you guys out there, really! And my next biggest regret would be to not run for prefect in RI. ><

16. What kind of friend do you hope to be in your friend's eye?
A person that he can trust. I know this is a contradiction and it may seem selfish of me, but how can I expect others to trust me, to confide in me when I don't trust others? Haha. Is this being very demanding of me? Is this being very hypocritical of me?

17. Do you love your friends?
I have a few loves in my life, listening to music, some of my good friends, my family, etc. Yeah I suppose.

18. Which date do you like the most?
Haha. I have absolutely no idea. I suppose everyday is the same, even my birthday right? (Am I sounding emo? Because I am now. Thanks ah kangjie.)

19. If you have a dream to come true, what would it be?
No more global warming! I don't want the Earth to come to an end, but it will anyway since people today are so full of themselves.

20. If you could travel in time and return to a phase of your life, which phase would it be and why?
Not really sure. I suppose the times when I am overseas because I get a break from the monotonous school life here in Singapore.

21. If there's one thing you'd do now, what would it be?
Want to save the Earth and stop global warming! Adding in the now I suppose it will just be finishing the quiz. =)

I am clearly suffering from JET LAG!

T.T I slept at 1.30 last night and woke up today at 11, and I still feel tired. Translating this to Berlin time it simply means I slept at 7.30pm and woke up at 5am. That means I am still suffering from jetlag.

And I am suffering from withdrawal too. I feel weird when I start thinking of

1) What I happened to be doing at this time either one day ago or yesterday
2) What key events happened on when
3) Miss drinking fanta and nestea
4) the souvenirs I brought back. I keep wanting to look through them to jog my memory
5) Thinking that it is still the school holidays and still not doing any work.

Die la. I am so dead for term 3. Dammit.

I am starting to miss the trip ALREADY. Like wth so fast.

Its now 7pm here in Singapore, 2pm in Istanbul and 1pm in Berlin. Now here is a fun fact: when I was in Berlin I came to this sudden relisation that actually I don't need to feel lonely at night because people all over the world is still awake. I am weird right?

xD Sigh I miss times like trips. It seemed so long ago, like really, when I departed from Singapore to Istanbul. So long ago. And it seemed even longer when the results declared we had won 2 golds.

Oh well. Part of me wants to move on and get sec4 over and done with while the other parts wants to relive history.

I will post the events of what roughly happened here, but I guess I need pictures! I hope comm will start to collate pictures and burn into discs. =) Then pass to everyone.

Sigh. Time flies. But it wouldn't have flew so quickly if this trip had not happened. =)
